Andrea Jones is the Instructional Technology Facilitator for the Jackson Public School District. A native of Grenada, Mississippi, Andrea is a 1992 graduate of Murrah High School, a 1997 graduate of Jackson State University, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) degree. She also holds a Masters of Teaching Arts degree from Mississippi College where she was recognized as Magna Cum Laude.
She is a 2005 graduate of Parent for Public School Leadership Institute. After graduating from the Institute, Andrea facilitated several workshops for parents. In 2008, she participated in the Center for Parent Leadership Train the Trainer Workshop. Andrea now facilitates workshops for the Parents for Public Schools Leadership Institute.
Andrea is the proud parent of two children, 17 and 11. She currently serves as the PTA President at Power Academic Performing Arts Center and the Vice President of Membership at Murrah High School.
Andrea is a former classroom teacher, where she taught Kindergarten, 4th and 2nd grades.
Andrea Jones is heavily involved in the planning, developing and overseeing programs for Latte Ladies featuring Mocha Moms, Incorporated.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, arts and crafts and hanging out with friends.
